Nightmares By Kathy Lynn
Late at night the nightmares begin, The demons know when I am weak. Creeping into my bedroom, Taking me deep into the other world, As I lay asleep. There are quagmires there, Nettle bushes pulling at my hair. I hear the screams of others, That are here with me to share. The insidious tortures, They know so well. Demons looking for souls, Of the damned. Sweating I wake in fright, There will be no more sleep, For me this night.

I've been there a few times. Well expressed.

~fragmentation of KathyLynn verse.
These lines universally resonate...And I just realized, copying and pasting...They are also a poem, within a poem...Cool...Great work, Kat! Got more? Nir.
