i am the shadow that haunts your every night
there is no peace when i am around
the nights become long and endless
you can find no place to hide from me
when the dark engulfs you i will be there
how do you fight your inner most fears
do you say begone when you know it is deaf
that shadows persist when you want them gone
you dont dare let your fears be known
when the dark engulfs you i will be there
so you try to hide it knowing there is no place
the shadow can creep into all crevices to find fear
it lurks in the recesses of your mind waiting
waiting till you least expect it then its there
when the dark engulfs you i will be there
when the time comes the shadow will appear
it bides its time with patience then it strikes
you can never protect yourself from the shadow
for it will take you into the depths of darkness
