In the quiet rise of morning, tears stained pillows another night of crying, spent mourning the loss of your leaving, without words or reason footsteps faded into the horizon no backward glance just an ever slow onward motion The clock has stopped chiming and there's dust on the shelf where your things once stood heart continues beating, though it's now lost without cause cheeks are stained with the ache you've left behind - never giving an answer, to the unending question of why So many words spoken, too many lies given as tokens did you ever stop and think of the lives you were breaking bitter words leave my tongue, but reality is, even as they are said I'm too angry to be speaking In the cold rise of moon, the night fall is my only sanction and as I lay upon my bed shadows come to haunt me alone once more, you have left me silently dying
