welcome to the shit list...ggglgggl...oh, my stars, TL...I don't think I've seen you write/type an expletive, for as long as I've been reading you... i was all into the deepness of this southern [in]justice thing you were laying tracks on... and it's good stuff, man... but, i hit that last line...and it was like hearing your mother curse for the first time... suddenly, i'm sitting here, cracking up spontaneously, giggling in the flight chair and mini-me is asking me, what's so funny from the other side of the livingroom... great read and a great giggle. thanks. got more? Nir.

well i felt it needed more work didn't see any replies and it is a bit of history that runs deep against the grain But so glade you liked it shock and all - will re-post subsequently - this rabbit hole runs contrary to conventional superficail thinking in appearance
Epitaph
And any last brave words In the face of death It is a good day to die We have the capacity not To think about Those things we find Fearful like our Own Mortality Let alone that of others Stand up be counted There is no dress rehearsal Live fully in the moment Future and past have no presence
Outside
Stepping outside the picture Running with the peaceful wild Nature The beauty of no structure Is itself a way of knowing Knowing that is not structured As we know it As we are in our conditioned Lives

what happens when you are convicted, in small town obscurity, for a terrible crime you did not commit? to protect the innocent....
you get an education in swift and perpetual injustice that carries on behind closed doors the way things are done southern justice at its best in recognition of all those who have the esteemed honor of hitting high marks on the list of these things to be done shit happens you get use to it no amount of vindication will change the fact perpetuate nefarious iniquities fallacious transgressions unture beneath this lie the die is caste the deception is set for the common good guilt or innocence is of no consequence only the appearance of guilt is sufficient for the innocent to be tortured for our freedoms gestapo tactics for the greater good reputations are set to ridicule and derision put to ruin and torched - just the way things work the end justifies the means shaken from the appearance of normalcy a lesson in false opinions taken as fact bogus ersatz justice reprehend condemn blame and censure... the reprobate must pay small town cops with nothing better to do twisted justice
those on the top shit list have it coming
manufactured fabricated wicked justice

fantastic work, run against the grain or not you deliver a clear and strong message too your readers.. most enjoyable. thank you for sharing !
sorry it's taken me a while to respond. I had all my work deleted from my computer.. after someone, trying to do themselves a favour , started clearing out files too fit a game on the damn thing - even after specific instructions that there was simply no room for anything more than what was on here to start with.. so I've been busily trying to replace and restore the works I've lost.. a futile attempt, due to it being 8 years worth of work ( not all of it backed up with ink and paper ).

Good to know, it was really you that "disappeared" the poem I was ranting and raving about...I was half afraid I'd hit something accidently and done it myself...LOL... So, good to know, it wasn't me...But, hey...did you keep a copy of the original shorter version? It was a hard, quick draw that I totally got in it's shorter version...I thought it was stellar...
Like the longer version, too...It elaborates more...But, the short version was what wallslammed me...Maybe you could modify it into the first post, so it could be read as you originally wrote it? And I won't look like I've lost my mind in the second post...LOL... Reading it, reminded me of the past four years of my own life, indirectly dealing with smalltown, wannabe politicians; good old boy county DA's; and born again fanatics... Beings I would never have had to deal with if not for my son...Ah, well...That's another thread...Good kids that go way bad after puberty hits and they enter high school...
Anyways, digressing when all I meant to say is...
Got more? Nir.
