where the trust was just never quite enough
abuse wrapped around your heart
in what appeared to be love
evil laughter forming on mouth
lips twisted around

Simon says " kneel for me,
give me your hand..
no, don't speak
I am not here to hear your pathetic words"

Did you ever play this game
where silence ensued fury
losing self in amidst the din of screams
shadows are no longer your friend
and ends,
only when those words are said

Simon says "close your eyes ,
the end is near..
no longer will you have to wait
into the forever after,
you will be here with me"

As David said - this is chilling ... *huge shudders* ... yep, i've played that "game" ... in truth of course it's never ever enough for Simon, is it? You could hand over your eternal soul forever and it still would not suffice ... and you can be so far along the way to doing just that, if only for a moment's peace, that it is a miracle you ever see the game for what it is .... ouch, ouch, ouch!
