it's leash, no one else fathoms
but a lowly animal with little to say

but, growl, woof and howwwwwwwwl

equally, of little difference
what the seeress foresees;

as like the dog, she might
not be seeing what is out there

it could all be daydreams, not second nature

there could be nothing to fear
in the dark beyond the chain and the collar

there could be nothing to the stuff and nonsense,
spewed by one touched by the sight

if you can't see it, it isn't there

then again, what the dog sees could be real
and if you didn't run when it did growl

your's might be the last howl heard
before whatever was out there
