snub me, ignore me flog me with your indifference
your need to be right is your fight this dog no longer cares who's politically correct
in fact, i dare to say, i could care less, far less
analyze every move i make at the end of my chain make a list of all you think i've done wrong put it in an angst poem or a really ugly song
call me what you like, for that too, is your right just because you think it doesn't make it so
and what you don't know, bristles from you in edicts of how everything should be done
per your instruction, of course your twisted way or the highway
unhook this chain without gain kick me in the ribs, it wouldn't be the first time
let me go let me go let me go
you're the only one with the power to end this charade of a relationship
as for me, i'm just the cur you picked up off the streets, no power, no power
at the end of this tightly knotted chain
no pain, no gain no pain, no gain no pain, no gain
i've had enough of that refrain a life of homelessness has more appeal than this travesty of a life not lived, here in the dog pound with you
