If I could crawl
into a hole

To hide away
from the outside world

Find a place
thats all my own

To think
and rest
from all
life's tests

If the rest of the world
had a clue

To all that others
have been through

Perhaps they would
find a hole

One to call
their very own

A place to escape
away to a place

A spot of comfort
from all around

Away from this
life's endless sounds

No thoughts

No anger

No fears

No tears

A place

A hole

That's all our own

An escape
away from this constant race

A refuge from the human race

If I could crawl into that hole

I'd finally have a place
to call my own

All alone

Just my mind

Heart

And soul

A small retreat

If I could Crawl
into a hole!

Fascinating and powerfully moving piece, Cheryl. Can relate to this on many levels currently.
Sometimes I think if I could have one wish, it would be to have the power of father time in my palm - but then, perhaps that is just allowing too much of the past hurts to continue too control me ?
