THY ONCE-UPON EMBRACE
. .. ... ... ...
concealed deep in clouded secret
subdued lull of cushioned comfort
here is thy silent pillowed boudoir detained in my want remembrance
now is this empty blanketed divan diminished of thy covetous desire
dim-lit of waning candle's glow permeated of fading wish's gleam
lo' this very present anguish shall seclude me no more in mournful swell
lest I would of tearful weep fall limp upon this abandoned threshold lay
... ...
to lay seeping verve's crimson potion to wilt relinquishing soul's tepid breath
bequeathed this empty physique baron of our passion's previous courage
now deleted of thy expired existence sleep's trance thus conspires with me
remain contradictory in Death's shadow hush demanded by suppression's ache
whilst Decease absconded with thee hence chosen never with my accord
as such denied of Spirit's tranquil release I of loyal vigilant vow doth resurrect toward continuance
whence shed in absence ... of thy ephemeral companionship parted from thy once-upon embrace ... surrender I now to eternal stewardship
... ... ... ... ... ... .. . . . .

Jeepers, Ceesco, are you lost? Thees ees the Dark Country...LOL...jk... Had to look twice when I saw you'd landed on this board, Nims! You're like the Chief, sons of lightness...ggglgggl...And rarely seen beyond the lighter realms...
Eloquently, elegantly written offering of introspective reflectioning! Thanks for sharing. Glad Ingra talked you into posting it.
David has a lot of pieces he's not posted...I've been thinking of poemjacking some of my favorite pieces of his and posting them, myself, much as Ingra has done with some of your stuff.
So thankful you sound better and are bettering! That's a good thing...I know the last couple of weeks in Nimland have been...Trying...To say the least... For you and Ingra, both. Ya'll take care. Nir.

LOVE'S TIDE
...
what darkness may cloak what emptiness may crave what loneliness may remember in the disquieting wake of transition
...
radiance fulfillment friendship in time will dissipate that turbulent wake
...
illumination continuation compassion may restore the ebb and flow of Love's tide
... .. . .

I'm really proud of you, Jeffrey for sharing the first poem. Babe, I know that it's rough to 'go back' and let go of the past. But it's part of getting on with your life. And a poem like that, although written years ago, might just help someone else through a similar experience. I'm also glad that you placed mine in here with it. That's why I wrote it. To respond to yours. With motivation. And the third poem in here is beautifully simple and has brevity (is that the word you use for a short poem ?) and real depth.
While Mom and I are here at my cousin's Myrtle Beach condo, I showed this site to her. Wow, is she ever blown away ! She don't write, but she says she will come here alot to read.
Hi everyone ! I miss you all ! Ingra
(Jeffee, I'll see you in a couple of days, Cutie~Pie.)
