I stood in a valley empty of empathy for me... Or anyone, for that matter save the chosen few... I stood still over and over, waiting for you to come over the hill... When I could have cut and ran, anytime, too... Just like you and so many others... But, I stood in that valley empty of empathy, as you acted like you needed me... So, I just stood there, in the middle of a hail of flying metaphorical stones...Faithfully waiting... Alone in a crowded room that hated me, religiously...
Only to be shunned time and again by you... For weeks, months on end...Over and over... And finally, the last time, to be told you'd changed... Don't expect you to be the same? More or less, told to back away, metaphorically... It took me a while longer, than you... Sometimes, I'm slow on the uptake... But, I finally caught up to your speed... It took me awhile longer than you, but now I've changed, too. I'm not the old adaptable girl, you remember, now that you bother to remember her, once more... I'm just old and tired...And that's the bottom dollar...

Metaphorically right on the money. Would you please get out of my head. I would have gotten this poem out... sooner or later. Scratch that you wrote of the angst oflonliness and betrayal far better then i ever could. Awesome work sweetling. Always Vixen

I would love to get out of your head...Or find the way out of mine and then sneak over to your head and help you find a way to get out of yours...ggglgggl...Then, during our out of body experience, we could sneak off to...What sounds like a good out of body destination? The stars? A casino in...Europe, somewhere...Grace's, as in Kelly's old haunts... I'm game if you are...But, seriously, if I can drag my tongue out of my cheek, lady... Thank you, thanks millions. Sabrina, grinning and blushing...

I really like this it is almost like a rebirth but then it is also a reflection of the past. Kick arse Anir! ~ BNM
