somewhere, in dark places a cat hisses, a snake slithers and a dog howls in the night, left loose in the rain when the hail came pouring down, down, down upon its thunderstruck cranium
while, somewhere else, love slips away on the assumption if it felt right then it must be wrong, now... pack it up tight, throw in the towel...
and on the edge of an abyss, else where... a woman picks up a rock and chunks it at the world before turning her back upon it and freefalling into the dead space of the crevasse at her feet...

I want you to know the above words cracked me up sideways with laughter so hard I was scratching at my sides, as do most dogs when you tickle their ribcages with your fingers! Thank you, Dear One. Dawg.

ah, but someday, perhaps this dog shall cease to growl and howl no longer this world of screens and screams to prowl
as here in the belly of the beast, Darkness knows her place cutting and slashing at a furious pace filling empty space and nothing more
a smile pasted across her sothic face pretending she doesn't know her race is done, pretending not to know what she felt before it was already spoken
the coin has flipped to tails not heads while riding the air the dream isn't the same as it was before except for her...
ah, but Darkness the Dog grins anyway...a consummate actress playing the role of the gracious chatalaine hiding the pain that hasn't any gain... submerging the fury, softening the edges of the truth; making the fact line blurry, pretty and rosy, easier for the audience to swallow than the acidic bile that rises in her own throat...
perhaps, even now, Darkness is digging a moat and when she's through behind her barrier she and her dreams shall disappear... never again to be seen or heard, far or near, just a memory of what could have been, should have been and yet for some reason, never ever was...just an echo of a dog that thought she was a woman howling upon the wind...
ggglggglgggl...

heheheowlwoofwoof...good to know...good to see you back on the boards and as far as that goes, good to see Mary and Sammy and the boys...ggglgggl... I called them boys...David and Troy and Bernie will be frowning on that word... now, if only Loretta would show up to grace us all with her precense, too...
hmmmmm...perhaps, we wicked women of sorcery could chant her up? but, it'll have to wait til my tired ass drags to the tub and shaves these legs... and then, my tired ass may just drag it's tired self to bed...so, we might have to have this Michelle, Mary, Sammy, and Sabrina coven meeting to chant up Loretta, another time...Loretta...Sweet sweeting...Loretta... Can you come out to play? Loretta...[sound of water running in a tub as background noise]...Loretta...Loretta...We're missing a gal called Loretta... [sang to the same tune as Maria from West Side Story] Lo-reeeeeee-ta... We're missing a gal called Loretta...And where the hell is Pamela, as far as that goes? We'll chant her up, too...Pamela...We're missing a gal called Pamela...
[sound of bubbles, as one tired assed woman drowns in the tub, making up songs about her missing poetical friends...]

Well, Mishie... As usual, our spells only half-assed work... ggglgggl...But, we did manage to raise Loretta, if not Pamela, as well... Thanks for adoring me, though I know not why... But, I do know, the sentiment is felt for you in return... Tired now...Wish I had more time to play catch up and tag along behind all of you...Whispering TAG! YOU'RE IT! in your ears... But, it's after nine in Nirland and to bed I'm must be getting if I'm going to be able to handle my stint in the belly of the Beast, on the morrow...And so, I borrow from one of the greats, when I say...um..er...type... "Parting is such sweet sorrow..." Sabrinazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

That's my job, ma'am...Keep it interesting to keep you coming back for more and bringing more of your own to share...The initial poem of this thread, made me think of you and what I read earlier...Of course, "dog" is another of my various pen names...
Take care of you for us here, Miz Mary Etta.
