Eat of the dying apple So the worms may taste your greed It is for you I offer my existence It is for you my wrists now bleed
You are lovely amongst the wilted garden The black roses they’ve thrown at your feet From my rib you have been created From my love you’ve learned deceit
An evil in an angel’s halo By it I hang from the tree of woe Wishing to desecrate your body Wishing to plenish my soul
You shall birth the next generation Nurture a future on a maternal breast Were you meant for pleasure Was I the one whose been blessed
Given the name of darkness Her crown lies in a throne on his right hand Slithers her way into our hearts She is Eve… the downfall of man

I love the writing in this one...But, as a feminist I'm so against the X'tianized version of how woman was created and that she is of course, the downfall factor...LOL...Excellent versificationing, as always, though...Thanks for sharing, Messiah. Nir.

Outstanding beautiful poem...
We are all equal in the eyes of God or so the saying goes... Patriarchal society somehow got it wrong... but it is a creation myth retold and passed down through the ages to keep us all dutifully subservient to the powers that be all those in authority yet male and female strong or flexible black or white day or night light of the moon or that of the sun the sky turns the seasons and we are divorced from the reasons this is so at harmony we are one not one is more than another where balance is secure
