Irridescent jewels of the air. Precious flying gems, of glittery color, rare: ruby, emerald and citrine; peridot, sapphire and tourmaline; onyx and amethyst, shades ranging from violet to brilliant purple. Highlighted with metallics of pewter, gold and silver. Revered by the Aztec, Hopi, Tewa and Cherokee. A fierce, restless warrior, smaller than an Old World fairy. One, honors my stillness, with his solitary precense. Deigning to dine, from the largesse and spread, of petunias, in flirty red, in the buttery sunshine.
~Sabrina.
