Wind riffles and ruffles the night stained leaves, setting in motion, a susurrus of arboreal whispers; shivers the timbers of the tree crowns, with it's intimate, firm caress.
Drifts of newly released cottonwood seedlings, surf the nascent breeze. Airy nomads wafting, first this way and that, through the wilderness of a seemingly, infinite evening. Glitterkissed, by the platinum halo of the half moon rising, to shine like the earthbound shooting stars they are...
Bound to drift meaninglessly- as errant, as meandering thoughts, in solo and ensemble bunches, in search of a safe harbor- a clutch of tall bladed, zephyr swayed, shadow hued weeds; or the billowing, blowing, unruly curls of my hair- as I wander the darkness, as emotionally adrift, as unmoored, as the glitterkissed, cottonwood seedlings...
My thoughts drifting... Like them...In search of a place to anchor themselves...To sleep and dream of next spring... Not this one...When they shall awaken as vigorous saplings... No longer airy nomads with nowhere to go but into dreams... Like my thoughts, as I drift to bed...

Sabrina...
This piece IS its own 'NIR'-shere...an atmosphere of pure simplicity yet grandeur.
Your inclusion of seldom-used vocabulary helps to add a melodic quality to the 'clouds' this piece 'floats' us through...clouds of wild untamed meadows and woods. This Poem seems to enliven all the senses. ("glitterkissed"...what an astonishing, visionary term !)
Bless your gifted imagination. Bless your enchanted talent.

this was a great read Nir, as all of your poetry. 'a susurrus of arboreal whispers' ... gotta luv that line, I am going to wait until spring and actually say it out loud to someone while standing under bunch of maple trees on a breezy day ... jk ... the images were great here. Much enjoyed.
peace as always, Bernie

Thanks, Bernie. Grinning like a proud loon at your comments. Nature is one of my favorite muses...She never runs away in her red high heel shoes to go dancing like some of my other muses, do...LOL...I just walk out the door, and she's always there...Just waiting for me... Thanks for peace, too...A much needed spiritual commodity in my head, right now. Blessed be, you and the crew! Nir.

~Something Magical
Dusk drifts and settles on another day. Sun sets on one horizon painting the verdure fuzzed tree crowns with a last glowing kiss of saffron; as on the opposite horizon the near full moon rises, a gleaming plate of cool platinum. Something magical about the odd moments when the sun and moon both occupy the same realm...A hushed stillness as each looks upon the face of the other in wonder... If but for seconds, as dusk drifts and settles on another day.

huddles and scuddles of lavender clouds drift slip like a wind tossed lace veil blown back from the shining countenance of the rising moon... Luna, the goddess of the night, in the slow measured gait of a queen, gaining the apex of the heavens her retinue of stars joining her sparkling celestial ascent... a moment so imbued in natural spirituality you almost expect to hear angels break out in song at the beauty of it all... and then, they do... as the mockingbirds, sound off in duets and solos in the crowns of the ash, mimosa and elm trees reaching suppliant branches towards the heavens in still life poses of adoration as I, no less adoring than they, sit in awe of it all, including this pen and paper in my hand... mind adrift with thoughts and visuals of thoughts and not much else...

You're very welcome, Soul! I like that term...Head space...Havn't heard that one, in awhile...That's what I need, too...Head space...But, in my case, that's an oxymoron... As that's all that seems to be in my head right now...Empty space...LOL...Nir.
