Storm

I sit upon the front stairway
and watch the clouds roll by,
Dark grey slate with elongated rolls of white
a flash of something electric,
Tremors felt in the air and deep inside
the hills in the horizon,
Have long disappeared
under deluge and fog,
Thor with his fist
a strike of his trident,
Sends a rolling crash and it's as I sit
that I feel the first pelt of water,
And the anger inside of me
becomes one with the storm,
Grey slate clouds roll over head
rocking with each rumble and lightning flash,
Waiting, until the fury once again subsides

Very elemental with great visuals Soul. Now is mid summer in Australia and I guess you get a lot of storms?

I like poems that make me feel like, as the reader, I've been pulled from my dimension,
into another without ever leaving my flightchair...This one did that to me...One second,
I was sitting in my livingroom...The next, I was in the middle of a rainstorm, sitting by you, S'fir...Cool...But, it's kind of freaky, when I finished reading this poem, my hair and clothes were soaking wet...ggglggglgggl...Got more? Nir.

i love this, as i do all your writing, darling Soul. Your use of repetition is especially good in this poem that rolled around my mind - as Sabrina says, you re-lived this, almost meditationally, with the reader behind your eyes, all of us within the storm and equally the observer ... gorgeous!
