brilliant gem, Dawnsweet!
and yes, it is a rather unique thread about nature, isn't it?

Thanks for your poem and comment, Dawness, and thanks, Nir, for your constant encouragement. I think that there truly is a "healing force" in nature if we can learn to be receptive to it. RR

I wholeheartedly concur with that statement, Runner--'that there truly is a "healing force" in nature if we can learn to be receptive to it'...And you're welcome for any encouragement I bestow...I just get a kick out of watching people kick the boxes over in their heads and seeing what falls out of them...Nir.

As gentle as the ebbing tide Incoming thoughts recede Reconnected to the earth You now are part Of something much bigger than yourself And like the vast expanse of sea It is full of mystery.

The pure beauty of this moment in simple time overtakes me and I am calmed, and humbled, as the hand of God paints another brilliant masterpiece across the world.

The drought is over Once more refreshed Life surges through the forest The crescendo against the rocks Creates a fine mist Unsuccessful in quelling The intense heat of vegetal proliferation But quite adequate for maintaining Good mosquito habitat.

"Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Find a cool place, my guest And let me warm your face with the sun Feast your eyes on beauty Feed your spirit with wonder Fill your senses with everything that surrounds you Act like a child again, PLEASE. What and how much you take with you Is entirely up to you Stay as long as you want The beauty and wonder of creation are ALWAYS here.

And a much belated thanks to you, David, for your comment. While trudging, drudging thru life I happed upon a pool of delight Rimmed with evergreens, high in the mounts A shimmering, glimmering, reflected scene Doused through and through with aquamarine A plunge expunged doddering doubts Reason released, tradition trounced, My world opened up to the truth of the trout: In Him we live and move throughout.

As delicate as a dew-drenched rose Slowly opening Offering beauty, absorbing love, Fragrantly blessing all around her A gardener's dream. Her thorns could pierce But only for protection. Firmly rooted Weathering seventy-six years of storms At summer's end Bent and broken She passed away in a winter's sleep. Dew-drenched flowers grow nearby Looking up at cloudless sky More keenly now this gazer knows The peerless beauty of the rose.

lunar gondola awaits departure as fantasies float freely rhythmic rippling lulls reality to sleep unchartered waters beckon the adventurous spirit like a mist over water is drawn not looking for dawn just the unknown with eyes fully open and mind fully blown

Sparkling diamonds ripple touching the moon lighting the darkened sky. I sit calmly watching enchanted by the beauty, of this gift freely given by Nature's ever watching eye. The stage set before me soft as a whisper sweet as a lullabye. I'm awed by the beauty humbled by the glory awakened to the sound of my own gentle sigh....

I remember a time, remote, When feelings heaved Then froze, Cleaving mind from tapping toes Leaving heart transfixed Within the icy floes. The frost, unmoved for years, Grew thicker with the tears, 'Til hope, itself, seemed dead, Succumbed to drear and dread. But time flowed. Far below, How, God only knows, Life never stopped Hope never died 'Til one day a tide, A wave of balmy weather, Finally arrived, And I survived.

Pristine pastels release rays of rapture, Chasing stale shade from deciduous dells, Remnant of Winter, evading capture 'Til now, is feeling Spring's heat on its heels. Translucent greens emanate from the mist, Lilacs, fuchsias and violets unveiled, While roses and reds are unrobed, enriched From their season of resting deep, inhaled. Drama ascends as senses awaken Blinking their eyes at the colorful feast, Doubtful at first when shutters are shaken Then opened to ochers, aquas and pinks. World seems awash in this seasonal tide, In scents the presence of God has arrived.
