Anita L. Wynn is a huge talent. She's only written two books so far, both published in the last 2 years. her first book was SPEAKING IN TONGUES, which she wrote under the pen name of Autolykos. After that book i was able to convince her to drop the pen name (especially since a search on Autolykos would lead people to literally millions of hits on some ancient god or something like that). Her second book, WHITE HORSES, was published under her real name of Anita L. Wynn and both are available from amazon or www.barnesandnoble.com i was fortunate enough to be able to write the introduction to WHITE HORSES. her work is gut-wrenching and angular...heart-pounding and uplifting. enjoy! For Elizabeth Ann ( in memory of my daughter, whose death was in her birth) What color was the sky the day I first discovered you lurking quietly, stowed away in the soft darkness of my belly? What color were the clouds that gathered 'round your perfect, pretty head as I lunged headlong, unheeding your safety or mine? How black was the earth they laid you in, how green the sod quilt that covered your tiny white box, while I was not by-- as I stared at the white ceiling in the sterile room, whispering to any god who would listen in the cerulean sky?

She's good, Yam...Thanks for sharing her work with us...This piece took me back several chapters in the book of my life...I'll have to check her out, too...Nir

Anita's work is quietly powerful on so many levels. This particular poem is heart-wrenchingly beautiful.
