"And I remember the musician Faltering over his fiddle In Bayswater, London. He too set me the riddle."
~fragment of Patrick Kavanagh poem titled 'Memory of My Father'
thanks for sharing this poet and his work with us, Glenn... just read the piece and totally got it...since my father died last July, I get that same eerie feeling...every old man, reminds me of my father...Sabrina

He uses language in an interesting way. Maybe it is just my imagination, but I can almost hear the Irish lilt in the words, too.
One of the songs I posted on the Music thread ("On Raglan Street") is by the same fellow. Worth a read if you missed it!
I lost my father long ago, but sometimes I feel like I am still searching for him.

I totally agree...that Mr. Kavanagh uses language in an interesting way...And yes, you can almost hear an Irish lilt...
I probably did miss it...the "On Raglan Street" posting...missed alot around here in recent weeks due to my tumultuous private life...LOL...and off and on computer difficulties...
have to give it a peek, the song by Kavanagh, if I don't forget before I sign out...
an honor and a treat to see you hanging in there with us here, Glenn...love the pictures you've shared and am really glad you hauled yourself back up on the poetry writing bandwagon...sometimes, I just want to shake you when you say you can't write poetry... but, I have to refrain as it's hard to do from the other side of a computer screen...ggglgggl... lucky for you...wha-hahahahahahahahahahahahahahah...take care, Nir.

I seem to have mucked up some of the photos I posted. Was editing on photobucket and forgot I had some of those linked. Oops!
Hope things are going well for you, Sabrina.

Things are going well for me, Glenn...Thanks millions for hoping so... I have good days and bad days, just like anyone, inspite of finally having brokered my freedom...I guess that's called living...ggglgggl...
Hope all is well for you...Sabrina.
