beautiful as it is painful... both cure and curse... nirvana and nemesis... simultaneously cutting sword and delightful kiss... enervating and invigorating... tired of waiting... being a bud that wishes to blossom...
this love...

~A Roadtested Blessing
No matter the peripheral strife tangling and untangling about us
we drift through life wearing this love- a comfortable, softly worn terry cloth robe we have pulled on and about ourselves
Yet, this love is not entirely staid and sturdy. It is also, the spice with which we flavor our endless days of routine living- priceless, rare as saffron, this love
No longer, both, cure and curse... Having evolved into something more... A roadtested blessing...

Can you say, Nir was watching a documentary about spices, and writing a poem, too? Somehow, the spices seeped into this poem...Or the saffron did...lol...Thank you, John Moseley.

I want some real fresh paella, some sangria, a sombrero, some snazzy pants, a guitar playing dude and a cool brisk night to dance that sombrero into powder!!!

Oh, my stars, Moseley...I can see you in that sombrero and snazzy pants dancing the night away. For some reason or another, I can also hear the 'Mexican Hat Dance' in my head, too...lol...Man, it's been a long time since I had sangria. Yum! Good stuff!

This love lacks so much... Condescension. Violence. Aggression. Tyranny. This love lacks even more... Angst. Bitterness. Jealousy. Insecurity. This love lacks all but one ingredient- Love.
