I wrote the following poem this morning, maybe it is my Canada windows 7 Desktop theme that shows me various pics of Canada, although most of those I suspect were summer pics that make the place look inviting, really I started writing because my folks gave me an antique fountain pen that screws into it’s holder on a marble base doesn’t take cartridges has a built in gizmo that takes some ink up into it so I got some Italian Bordeaux colored ink from a site on the internet I like, so I guess I was itching to use the pen and this was completely spontaneous it took me about 5 minutes or less to write scanned it in embellished it with a photo of the Yukon territory in winter (actually I think it’s a glacier up there but definitely the Yukon, which is right next to Alaska) and then regarding the tone of the poem the other pic jumped out at me when I was looking for the Yukon pic to insert!

The North has always had an appeal to me, too. Maybe it was all those Jack London books I used to read.
There are some railways that run from Skagway through the Yukon. In summertime it would make a great vacation.
