Down a winding path in a knarled wood up to: No Good No Good Spiders scurry, naw hell they run away, afraid to hear what you might say! You growl and groan a language unknown, though nobody answers because you are alone; all else is silence. . . that chills to the bone! Cold as a stone cold as a stone! Dry brambles crackle beneath your smoldering feet, in this barren winter cold, you are the heat! Every obstacle crumbles in defeat! Hells not on wheels, it's on slow thudding steps ominous and unstoppable they thunder on when they arrive all safety is gone! The earth will swallow you whole with a single yawn!

I just watched the movie Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, the second in the series. Reread your poem before I read your comment and it reminds of that movie and certain scenes in it. Spiders scurrying before a voice...Shivers. I still have the scenes in the arachnid cave stuck in the gears of my thoughts. LoL
