The old religions are dying (Some are claiming) Allah and Jehovah together, are sighing
Perhaps, happy to leave the party, at long last Afterall, being a god is quite tiring
The New Age arises inexorably As for me I can't wait to see what new gods we will next create in our own image...

They say that divine beings shaped and molded us in their image I have no problem with believing this Evolution moves with such godlike slowness (to us mayflies), yet it's the most amazing engine for creativity ever It could be the tool of a god Or, in some way beyond us, is it a god itself?
I believe in a creator But I also believe we craft our creator Ever notice how gods are reflections of the societies that worship them? It crafts us, and we craft it in return The Maker is made of clay as much as we are ourselves We lie on our side, running our hands against its' body, sculpting a pleasing form that excites us While it oh so lovingly takes the knife and gently strips away that which does not benefit us, if we let it
We're all wet, and amorphous Yet the divine lets us do to it what it does to us
Is that a fantastic god, or what?

Or what? What would our world look like if the new old religions were finally placed away as the others before them?
Not replaced, simply put away as a child outgrowing toys or a security blanket puts them away in a box...
And moves on into growth and enlightenment

why wish? haven't you heard? it's medicinal these days and the legal pungent haze over Colorado has reduced the crime rate to a period not an exclamation point
point being I have onyx rocks, too I keep in a metal box with a Chief prow nosed and proud painted on its lid amongst other stones and an arrowhead, or two or you serious? these will absorb my negativity?
but, I digress with banal brutality when all I meant to say and this is the gist
if you're going to partake of cannabis please don't be a cowardly bloke and later claim "I swear, I didn't inhale it...."

What a GREAT read!!! I loved all the posts, but Phantasm, yours made me think of a bigger picture - an "oh so loving" wholeness that we can't see but can sometimes feel because we are a part of it, one that moves with "godlike slowness" yet transcends every religion that tries to capture it. Yeah, that is a fantastic God!!!!

Just such a treat, to see you back amongst us, Heart. Throw an offering into the thread if you feel inspired. Phant, Moseley, Aims, David and myself, amongst others, used to love be-musing one another, as I like to call it, when poets, inspire poets, at old Bnet University (hehe) back in the day. It's a fun way to practice the art of writing and to be inspired, when you didn't think you had a poem in you. The word games are also excellent writing practice. And of course, anything one shares in a thread like this, or that, can also be posted by itself in a thread of ones own. As Phant said, the thread was hopping. Someone needs to re-infuse it with another poetical offering. Somebody sashay in and do it! I'm to tired. I just finished an epistle, as David calls my little stories, on the Blog Board. And the six thirty in the Sunday morning gotta get up and go to work routine is demanding I get some sleep.

Hey there. I just had an idea about what you said, that we used to love "be-musing" one another. I have so many thoughts that I think could be a poem, but I can't seem to find it, so I just set it aside. What about we try to "finish" each others ideas for a poem? Could there be a section called "There's a poem in there somewhere?" (or something like that?) Just a thought!

I think that is an excellent idea, Heart. Let me see if I can figure out where best to add a board such as this and such.
