The eternal circle.
Forever’s such a long time,
To have such sad regrets,
Where cold embers of the past,
Into the present now reflects,
The enormity of our situation,
Borne upon the tide of time,
Could destroy mere mortals swiftly,
But immortality was always yours and mine.
You say now that this world is not for us,
And time weighs heavy in your heart,
To have release is all that’s left,
A wish for death... And from me to ever part.
We’ve shared so many memories,
As we’ve walked this path through time,
How long? I just cannot remember,
Now you make it sound a crime.
You tell me once you loved me,
Of that I always felt,
Can I endure this heartache?
As this bond between us melts.
Within this moment of eternity,
Where the deepest shadows lie,
I too now feel that darkest urge,
And wish that I could die.
But this is just impossible,
We both know it to be true,
For in time all this will be forgotten,
And I will be right back here with you.
Darkness.
