Save the child.
A lonely figure with starkest choices,
One of many children, who don’t have voices,
The world for them has not much meaning,
Apart from pain to them they’re dreaming.
Nightmares come, and nightmares go,
Such secrets that others chose to show,
No comprehension of their crime,
In a mouldy bedroom full of slime.
Heaven is a peaceful night,
Not needing to such advances fight,
That chills the blood of all who’s sane,
Evil that most will know at least its name.
To those that hide the truth within,
Suffer not the children in your sin,
Don’t tell me that you never knew,
Yes... I’m really talking right to you!
And to those that truth is hard to find,
Look deeper into the recesses of your mind,
You’ve seen the signs, but chose to wait,
Just leaving these vulnerable children to their fate.
Perhaps it’s time to do much more,
Than you ever thought you could before,
Save the child that’s in distress,
It’s not an option to not care less.
