Life’s lessons
and inspirations
herd me in circles.
Ever so slowly,
on auto pilot
taking steps I am aware of,
but they are not deliberate,
not pondered,
lacking the rumination
that yeilds illumination.
I wander away from surrender
and serenity
from going with the flow of life
and working within that framework
swimming with the currents
instead of fighting against them;
and when this happens
Life circles me
with reminders,
with obstacles,
with mirrors,
that draw me back
into a more centered
a more balanced,
a more congruent place
where I am not fiercely embracing
some objections
to life . . .
as it is.
