Exsanguinated of all hope and faith weary of wishing brittle and bloodless breathing in numbness peace to feel nothing
Excoriated of childish beliefs spirit dancing here alone with myself expecting nothing searching for something
I search for meaning not for religion not for salvation I search for nothing but definitions of the universe
No whirling dervish No Catholic saint Bible nor Quran to guide the footsteps nothing in the hand save Webster's famed book
the Dictionary logic the lamplight simple facts the staff the mind wide open all can be discerned all untruths unlearned
Makes a great doorstop random odd weapon you can't beat knowledge into anyone but when attacked you can throw the book knock them out with it

An excellent write anirbas. And a hint of humour perhaps? A saying came to mind as I read this. 'With knowledge comes responsibility'. There is a train of thought that we are on this world to learn lessons. And I do think the vast majority of people are seeking something in their lives. but of course not necessarily knowledge in itself. Gaining knowledge is one thing, the understanding of what this knowledge gives to you is quite another. No doubt that for some knowledge might unravel the life they thought they understood and send them down some interesting paths. That's why some are content to stick to what they know in life and won't venture out into the unknown lest they might find something that conflicts with their beliefs. I enjoyed the read my friend.

Thank you and thank you for the read; and yes, a hint of humor, Darkness. For without it, I might be tempted to smite the willfully ignorant I find myself surrounded by at any given moment. Hehehe
