Everywhere on street corners in barbershops and department stores across yard fences and on cell phones in cars People are talking about how things are
I've got to agree these are some crazy assed days
When a draft dodger finally makes it to Saigon only five decades after the fact of Viet Nam silver spoon fed baby with a silver spoon up his nose Meanwhile worthy vets remain homeless hungry and ill
I've got to agree these are some crazy assed days
Brown babies in cages brown babies lost brown babies lost winsome brown children sexually abused and passed around by predatory ICE guardians without souls without souls While priests prefer molesting altar boys and nuns
I've got to agree these are some crazy assed days
I wish I believed heavenly intervention is forthcoming that we're in the middle of the fucking apocalypse the sorry assed four horsemen are creating this mess But, I don't. I believe We the People are responsible.
And it's up to us to right these cacophonous injustices

A very powerful write anirbas.
I think the truth is, as I see it, is that the world we live in has always been in a state of chaos. The order we believe exists comes and goes from one age to the next. Civilization is a thin veneer that you need just to barely scratch to reveal this.
The past screams at us but few want to hear. The Vietnam war was like so many before, (and after) a horrific episode for many that in reality most did not want. The true nature(good and bad) of humanity played out through the sixties and early seventies. And with all conflicts many people who fought came back to their country scared, physically or emotionally, or both. And like all conflicts consigned to history. But for those who were there it will live with them the rest of their lives, whilst others who do not understand would rather brush it all under the carpet.
As I've said before religion is only as good as the people who practice it. Wrong doing by those that are supposed to be above sin is inexcusable. Especially those who are supposed to be an example and lead. I just think there is a fatal flaw in the whole concept of religion for these things to keep happening. But all this is nothing new... Actually it is very old.
The chaos of the apocalypse is ever near. A heartbeat away. But it always has been, and will be.
Another thought provoking Gem my friend.
