This is a new one for you. I don't recall you using "at symbols" (@) and stuff like that before.
Symbolic of water? or soil?

Actually, Phantasm, it's an old one. Written around 2008-ish?

Found it in my dusty "archives".

The symbols represent roses...The @ and the > make a bud...@>....the ----- makes the stem.
Together you get a stick figure rose @>------ ------<@ . Voila. Just added it for the fun of it.

I haven't cultivated the imagination to see shapes in letters/numbers/symbols.

On the one hand I can work with simile and metaphor and stuff like that.
On the other hand I have a literalist streak a meter wide down the middle of my soul.

I am the same. I wouldn't know how to do the rose, if not for my daughter, Ivy Lano.
She showed it to me, when she was still our resident teenager, a few years back.

Anything new with me? Yes! I'm playing hookie from work on my Monday, which is Saturday for most people. Decided to pay
myself to take the day off! I'm not regretting that decision. I felt like warmed over death this morning because I ate to much
on Thursday and Friday.

And I got my tax check back and am finally going to get some work done on the car. Mostly, it needs a paint job, like yesterday.
Also needs an oil change and a check to see if it needs a tune up. Plus, it has a gasket that needs replacing.
I am excited to finally have a chunk of change on hand to get these things done.

Whatever is left, I plan to put in savings.

And you, Phantasm? How are you? Anything new with you?

Haven't scheduled to get my taxes done yet, need to pick a day to do that.

On Wednesday I had a 24 hr flu virus. Generally felt weak; barfed a couple of times early in the morning.
I needed to go buy some clothes on Monday so I went to the local Galleria. Even with the limited crowd there that day,
I could've picked something up from somewhere. So, I stayed home all day recuperating. Totally over it now, though.

I kept putting it off, until David started pushing me. LoL You need a David to push you...Oh, that's right...You have one!!! You!!!

Hate to hear you were sick. Good to know you're bettering. I get a flu shot in September, these days. Or both my family doctor
and my specialist doctor start screaming at me in medical gibberish. Haha.

Ugh. I hate shopping for clothes. Honestly, I hate shopping for anything, period. Even groceries.

So cool when we catch others online in here at the same time for a "real time" conversation.
We are just such a small group now, it doesn't happen as often as when we first opened
the doors on this lounge of poetry. Or like it did at Bnet U where denizens of people
were and are always in and out.

I can get my shit together when I want/need to. I just need to make more of a habit of it.
I've picked up good habits over the years that have helped. It's not always enough, though.
Still, I wouldn't give up the life of a single guy for anything. I love my freedom too much.

The only thing holding me back is me. To be honest, that's a good place to be in. I can only blame myself for (some of) my problems.

weeks to get off of my arse and take care of it, finally. LoL And look, now I am all happy about it, too! Dreaming of my car
painted matte shark gray with a clear coat over it.
