Love's corpses litter our shared spaces Rub shoulders with us look into our faces Shuffle beside us mumbling and moldering Blank shuttered eyes seeing next to nothing
Blanched heart a broken engine drained and blown Lungs still bellowing though the mind is gone It's a miracle their limbs still move at all After crash landing from the long dark fall
We've all been there at one time or another Whether you identify as a miss mrs or a mister Abject misery overflowing your only glass of life Feelings trapped in a fragile frigid winter of strife
Needing one bright day to warm your love lorn bones A time the pounding rocks in your mind become quiet stones That second a friend says hey snap out of it buddy I am here Glad I'm not where you are now but I can tell you I've been there
That is the moment you feel the first bright touch of healing Against the bruised and battered skin of your emotional being Bestie then says besides in a crate in the back seat of my car I've got nine dozen cartons of rotten eggs and I can throw them far
We both know the make model and color of that fancy automobile...

It's true that there are times we feel utterly alone in the world.
Very nicely penned Silver.
