Sometimes couples in love are boisterous
Out there loud and in your face proud bombastic
with the noise the first blush of exploding fireworks
A figurative pair of frisky puppies playing
tussling in public with a bone they are certain
no other dogs in the world have found to share before
Other times couples in love are reserved stately quiet
a contained covert below the surface operation bubbles
ripples that undulate from the core of the ocean floor upwards
As lovers are inspired focused
by the intensity of their shared emotions
to run silent run deep
