All About Love.

When we talk about love
we have to talk about all love
not just the love we have
paid our subscription to..

I hated my father but somewhere
in the night I cried out
and said I love you!

Talking of love is the hardest thing.
Because it's devalued
by the very word

I love T.V. I love pizza !

But what do we really love really?

When we strip away the conditions
what is left to love?

Do you love your wife or husband?
But I guess you love your child.

Many say that God is love.
In the night I cried out
'God I love you!'
but I still felt alone...

I wanted a warm body to love
to curl into my abdomen

I'm just all cried out on the word.

You pose an interesting question... although, for me, "I love Pizza" really is more than a cliche to me. I DO LOVE PIZZA! If I wear a pizza, I'd marry one of me... with pepperoni and mushrooms. ;D But I digress.
Good poem and love (or the lack of) is what poetry is all about. It may be the single reason why poetry was invented in the first place. Your write has inspired me. Great job.

Haunting is right. Love is an awesome concept.I think the word is overused. We like pizza, whats wrong with like. Think we should do that more, but love the poem.lol Always Vixen

that can pierce like a sword
or haunt ... as a stigma.....

this was really great and defines the essence of this write for me, saying it doesn't always 'cut it', you have to truly feel it (although pizza has worked for me from time to time lol).
