The last time.
When was the last time He told you that he loved you?
held your hand and smiled; told you that ‘you’re beautiful’ and didn’t treat you like a child?
When was the last time That he hugged you close To feel your beating heart Spun some verses into rhyme And didn’t treat you like a tart?
When was the last time He just loved you as a fact And didn’t try to block Your reclamation act?
When was the last time?

Very good questions asked here. Excellent write. All to often people take advantage of another and forget to say I love you once in awhile.

I don't remember the last time He told me "I love you" Or held my hand It would have gotten lost anyway in the critism of the day
Its scary.. if he died today I would more in likely rememeber thats my bottom is too fat or that he doesn't like when i cook this or that
I would more in likely remeber the sadness of every birthday he forgot or the nasty way in which he fought or the times he turned me away when I just wanted to love and play
I never thought whee I took the vow that my life would be as it is now I would give anything for it to be as it wa then.. If he would just hold my hand and tell me He loves me again
