This piece is a re-written version of a piece from a thread on
'the other site'...where many of us hail from. Well...my publisher
simply disliked it...completely...so, I shall attempt to give this poem
another breath of life. When I sent the 'draft' of this new version to them,
they said "now you're headed in an interesting direction...this piece may have merit after all."......Alrighty then, let's just see...hhmmmm?
'SELF' TO THE NTH POWER
there is a number
a subconscious sum
quite beyond the 'known'
of Tangible Coherent Math

100 Infini-Tillion ways
I want you on me
I wish for you with me
I need you wrapped around me
it is any quotient beyond which
my fondest hope is for your Joy
my deepest honor is in your Peace
my greatest destiny is of your Love
and the highest Sensual Equation
to which 100 Infinity-Squared cannot count
is what I believe of this Magnum Opus Paradigm
to be the visionary language in our combined passion
100 Nano-Seconds into
100 Temporal-Minutes on into
100 Neoteric Days forward through
100 Countless Lifetimes of Etheric Breath

bless ya Nimbus! It is a delightful honour if i am able to help at all ... truly so .. and i believe you are more comfortable now with understanding that nothing i say is ever intended as a must-do in any shape or form. Sometimes we need to try on different ideas just to appreciate more fully the original, it kind of brings an awareness that maybe being steeped in a poem can make hazy. A bit like the whole point of incarnating, to see ourselves as if there were others to show us to ourselves when all the time, we're all splinters of an undivided whole.
I adore the sequential poems too ... the "inviolability" of essence is a most glorious concept, so beautifully expressed. So many people damage their self with all this garbage about sin, they are taught from the get-go to belittle and despise themselves first and then society gets hypocritically upset and punitive when things go awry on a larger scale. Like *duhhh ... but then macro-structures can only function on the illusion of dysfunction being swallowed whole, eh? Can you imagine their corporate faces if they were told utterly clearly to step aside, there is nothing to fix here but the mess you have engendered? hmm .. i can see me being banned from the planet soon ... lol
I am ecstatic that Celeste, Jacques and Jena are enjoying this whole process of working with you ... i love that you are a strong minded visionary with in-built precision ... and i'm looking forward to seeing Panda's work too!

As always Nib, I thought they were beautiful. I thought it was awesome as it was, but of course I am not as sophificated as to notice the difference I guess. there is a beautiful timelessness to these pieces. People will think their beautiful 500 years from now. Vixen

I was trying to create a sense of timelessness
as well as a sense of 'casual' precision in these pieces.
Soon, I will post the other three pieces that make up
the twin-sequences...as well as the light-hearted 'bridges'
that will 'span' them.

You, darlin' girl, have been posting a bit less lately (or so it seems)
yet as always, what you post is so sumptuous. You, and all the others

no, it doesn't seems, nimster...i have been posting less, this past week... sick with some dratted respiratory virus making the rounds in this neck of the woods...LOL...spent most of this week, chilling and illing with fever and hacking up furrballs...ggglgggl... but, tis so...it's not a pretty picture...felt like i had felinic distemper... dawnster's been chilling and illing, too...serendipity says she, we both were sick... i say bum rotted bad luck was visited upon us...wouldn't you? i dunno...but, this i do... i've run out of yakking and so this near meandering commenting is through... blessed be, nimster and da poetical gangsters, one and all...nir... |

well FINALLY...
after quite a few 'go-arounds' with Jacques (publisher)
about the finicky details of the ...NTH POWER...piece
(this thread's main poem) it's on its way...YES!
((poems can be so stubborn at times...))
You see...I had used shell's suggestions and marvelous input
about that piece, made some final (much needed) tweaks,
ones that she thought would help it flow better (she was right),
I re-re-submitted it, and at last there is an agreement about it.
So...the final tweaked and re-tweaked version now appears
at the beginning of the thread. (The 'old' has faded...
the 'new' shines forth...) ((I wonder who said that...?))
Thank you THANK YOU...dear shell for all your wonderful help !
The publisher now says it has a nice sense of balance that
resulted from your ideas. They said to tell you (quote)
"Nicely composed mix of Math-Science and Mystic-Love."

sometimes, dear Jeffrey, you leave me speechless ... and in this case blushing too lol. Thank you. Your writing puts me in such a delightful spin that i think "what could i possibly say ... ohhh look .. a typo *hehe
this last (as in current last) in this string of poems is gorgeous. Earlier i had been going to say but one plus one/seven/nine/whatever .. is always One but the poem took us there *grin.
i will email very soon - have had to do domestic goddess stuff .. squirrel .. cats ... mud wrestling with a poem .. yep, sometimes they are VERY stubborn ... lol .. gotta love that!

I've been feeding the ones in my yard (many of
the little monsters there) and now a number of
them jump onto my lap or sit on my legs while
