Enduring Love.
Like a thumb upturned by the highway, Searching deep through the oncoming tide; Waiting for love to pick up and choose me, Hoping the next one will stop by my side
Alone with a Woman, I lived once afraid, Of what love freely given could deliver; Blindly ensnared by our wants and our needs, Fish trapped together in love’s frozen river
In frustration eager to slice up the blame, Always knowing it was never hers or mine; We were Just never meant to live together, We’re Friends again now, and that’s fine
Today now living alone but not lonely, It would be tempting to re-write the past; But my days are full of light and contentment, I am working on a love that will last
