I waited for it to arrive, with bated breath...
The first likeness of you...In the knowing...
I already knew all I needed to know...
Through the written word, I'd already
looked into the eyes of your shining soul...
And in the innocent gazing, something happened...
My Rip van Winkle of a snoozing spirit awakened...
You could have looked
like a troll or Jabba the Hutt...
You could have looked like a cross
eyed, mixed breed mutt with stripes and spots...
You could have had the green skin of an alien...
The redly glowing eyes of a sulphur breathed demon...
It wouldn't have mattered...It was your spirit eyes,
that did this gitane hypnotize...Oh, my stars...
Did I just say all that? Dame pulling up
severly lame and getting really pissed off
about it...Not usually at a loss for words...
Today, herds of rocks seem to be falling
from my fingers click, click, clickety click dancing
across this black keyboard...Groaning
with my inability to elucidate...
To elocute with any diction, high or low...
How before I looked into those eyes...
The lavender blue of calm skies...
I already knew, all I needed to know about you...
In short, you spirit whipped me, baby...
Right from the start...And you didn't need eyes to do it...
All it took was your beautiful soul gently awakening mine...
Whispercalling me back to land of the living and feeling...
Drat...Drat...I can't get this poem like I want it...
I can't think...Perhaps, eating would help...
Come to think of it, I've not eaten anything, today...
Bumped into hot stuff and my brain turned
to pink cotton candy fluff...And that was enough
for me to forget everything...Except this moment...
