And so this is the way it is our journey from birth to death how are we to learn if not through direct experience the people who would inhabit our lives... the choice is always ours there are no minor intersections where one's life hangs in the balance
all those many years and now to end up here? there were other roads to choose but we see in these less agreement than the people who spend our time now - the world is an open ended possibility... down the road much less traveled
we see the results of lives half spent half lived misrepresentations manifestations of once former selves all for the choices we have made... remain open and become fulfilled without any intention that it be so

a tribe apart how open how free to live in a teepee love everyone unconditionally what are the chances indeed... free love sex is power sacred great goddess potential rainbow dancer
where is there a clear image of this landscape just imagine that every partner you encounter could be your last - no nothing like a revolving door you close one and another one opens - as if to fill a vacuum two maybe three years apart
it is only later that truth begins to emerge and you get to know someone you were nothing alike and yet what was it in your gut feeling that was screaming and never do we ever appear to listen to our best intuitions and so the drama unfolds a world apart three strikes you're out consumed in and out of love living in someone else's dream but then you had forseen the depths of this within a dream drawn into the arena and you are the prize playing for keeps unbeknownst' to you seven years invested 95' - 2000 & 2 precognition
this is a new chapter the past few years have been good except for a few unforseen bumps in the road how would we ever learn if we never grow if we were never tested
the trouble with promiscuous women once you see the history and do the math thanks for sharing you get the image and so one was an escort you discover following her divorce and the other was a full tilt AC-DC swinger from a bygone era retroactive 60's syndrom pagan throw back to woodstock rainbow nation not all things ritual spiritual are completely sacred - powers and abilities are little more than distractions yet it is a path most popular... having been celibate for the majority of my adult life this was a crash course in counter cultures and dysfunctional mis-creations all consuming misdirected negativity
love is blind we are no innocence and yet we are... awakening is all that matters a child without guidence must discover all alone in a world cruel and often unkind who is better than the next person all in a game of leverage by our mis- representations we are known... but we have a choice to alter direction at any course once the path is made clear no hardship or suffering is any greater than the illusion of being separate from anyone else... at peace with suchness as is

Standing against that flood the storm of unintended consequences standing out like a sore thumb i was to be judged and found lacking held in disrepute punctured debunked belied disproved refute - held in disrepute discredit and confute ignominy obloguy opprobrium politics as usual i was not intended to survive the attacks upon my character let alone the sub-rosa assassinations and yet through it all i held my ground shot down clock-and-dager clandestine ramifiacations modern day inquisition the sleeper must never awaken

"Wisdom stands on the street corner and calls to us above the multitude, but we deem her a thing without worth and dispise them that follow her." K. Gibran
but what does this mean to be released from desire and yet to be given everything? what a long strange journey it's been all those paintings by Hieronymus Bosch are the dream images you have seen standing both feet in two worlds... ultimately the darkness would seem to win yet we are no mere creatures of lust pronographic society imprinted upon this earth pagans with powers built upon sexual fixations illuminations of western magic up the tree of life no one seems to notice the dark side of the goddess that devours all upon its path where sexual excess would spawn a whole nation upon a lie breaking the shackles of conditioned mind only to fall prey to one's own lust for powers... where is there balance when in the book of life the pages have been over written in ritual sacrafice of natural innocence

so many good and strong traditions captured and twisted where indigenous wisdom can no longer be spoken outside the influence of sorcery and magick... there is a softer more supple middle way balance between strength and flexibility not so fixated on the elemental manipulations of mundanity

"What is the this root of the aggregate of mundanity? It is the discriminating spirit of the human mentality. The discrimi- nating spirit is the seed of endless routine, the root and stem of personal history; its authority is very great, its roots are very deep. At the time of 'meeting', it is the first bit of mundanity to arise, and at the time of 'parting' it is the last bit of mundanity to leave. It is that which gives birth to people, and it is that which kills people. People are very attached to it, it is not easily gotten rid of."
"The way to get rid of the discrimination spirit of the human mentality is to be firm yet capable of harmony, to be strong but flexible, neither forgetful nor insistent, waiting for it to lose support and wane in power, so that it can be removed by detachment. Extirpating the root of misfortune, bringing forth the original state before personal history, round and bright, clean and naked, bare and untrammeled, unborn and undying, something indestructible and incorruptible."

"The path of the I Ching is the Tao of balance of the earthly and the celestial. "
"Innate knowledge is rooted in heaven, and belongs to the order of life; innate capacity is rooted in earth, and belongs to nature. People are endowed with the ready and simple qualities of heaven and earth; knowledge and capacity are both innate, firm- ness and flexibility are both included, nature and life reside in one body."
"Subsequently, upon mixture with temporal conditioning, innate knowledge turns into artificial knowledge, innate capacity turns into artificial capacity; the earthly and the celestial out of harmony, firmness and flexibility are out of balance, so nature becomes deranged and life is destabilized, losing the natural endowment of simplicity and readiness of heaven and earth, lossing the innate goodness of knowledge and capacity."
The Taoist I Ching
"The difference between humans and beast is very slight; inferior people lose it, superior people keep it."
Mencius

Cleveland...
When love finds faith faith finds us...
The terms we use for such in those times...
Remains unchanged over the thousand years...
Magic...
It is the connection from one soul to the other...
It is the breath exhaled the knowledge inhaled...
We are the body of belief in all things unseen...
Temples...
Of stone and steel or at the base of an age old tree...
Where we pray sending love on imagined wings...
Are the places of acceptance of hearts, minds, souls open to the greatest powers...
Love this thread friend...be well and blessed through all your days and nights kept warm...

"In an imperfect world to shine is to be out of place..."
I know that's right, Cleveland...and that it's right to be "nurturing virtue with richness and warmth", much as one tries to nurture creativity and confidence in another human being... Glad to have you here and thanks for sharing! Sabrina.

Thank You Sabrina,
Been wroking pretty hard in the hot summer heat running late now as usual...
act without doing work without effort there is a fine line between the mind of Tao and the human mentality
Upon culmination of the celestial the mundane arrises insidiously in unexpected ways the weak meeting the strong at the beginnng of strength like a hidden dragon the text says Do not use it... but rather this is the time to nurture sound energy
Protect the innocent and the non-corrupted being inaccesible without hidding near to invulnerability being stern without ill will embracing all of existence in the midest of the mundane yet transcending the mundane
"Yet as their self-discipline and conduct are beyond the ordinary, and because they are conscientious, lesser people avoid them even though they themselves do not try to avoid lesser people."
"False followers of Taoism in the world who are small minded and intollerant and get irritated and angry at every encounter and confrontation are naturally disliked and avoided by petty people, but they are never free of obstacles."
"Through understanding and prudence, falsehood is done away with and truth is kept; then one can stop striving and take to nonstriving."
"If you do not know to stop at sufficiency, by keep on fussing, you will again call on delusion where there is no delusion, and produce mental illness. How then can you attain the state where one comprehension applies to everything?"
"Understanding what should be understood, stopping when one should stop, clarity is not separated from still-ness; one clarifies the quality of illumination, and rests in the highest good."
The Taoist I Ching

after working all day on this post it was almost lost elsewhere at the crash of another site So i am posting it here most along compatible lines...
i suppose the point is we always have the power to choose... going within in what may seem like utter aloneness most people can not tollerate being content alone with themeselves, but the master makes use of it; within the oneness of all things who is ever truly alone? We are, as one popular self development guru might point out, 'spiritual beings living a human experience' yet the truth of it is so profound no effort of thought can hold on to it... and so we turn everything into an object of thought caught in recriminations and judgements to justify our own existence in one form of belief or another - speaking the unspoken language our forgotten tongue what is the balance between yin and yang? if we are open and receptive... then we are able to speak with spirit and through the I Ching spirit responds
"Ordinary people hate their aloneness but the master makes use of it Embracing his aloneness realizing he is one with the whole universe...
"His constant practice is humility...
"He doesn't glitter like a jewel but allows himself (or herself) to be shaped by the Tao as rugged and as common as a stone...
"Return is the movement of the Tao yielding is the way of the tao...
"The gentlest thing in the world over comes the hardest thing in the world...
"True purity seems tranished true clarity seems obscure...
"all things are born with their backs to the male facing the female
~*~*~*~
{inadvertantly i may have misquoted this last line above on some previous occasssion...}
"true steadfastness seems changable"
Tao Te Ching
there is a time for waiting and a time for moving ahead there is a time for exhaustion toil or difficulty as there is a time for self-development and mastery either going into danger willingly or awaiting the oppropriate time...
a way out...
"Being weak and helpless, by nature in danger, is like waiting in blood. Also, when the quality of yielding is in a position of weakness, in a realm of darkness, and one is unable to get out on one's own, it is like being in cave: lucky is the quality of yielding that keeps to what is right, following the virtuous because of having no virtue oneself; then is is possible to get out of the cave, and ultimately not be injured by negative energy. This is waiting that is yielding and follows firmness."
use danger to nurture strength and firmness return the true yang that had fallen into water back to the palace of heaven it is then beneficial to cross great rivers to enter the lair looking for the tiger
when one is ignorant and acts arbitarily not knowing enough to honor teachers and respect companions this is getting into an impasss by one's own doing only pretending to have attained the Tao dispised by up right people striving for externals they have no real learning and loss what is within exhausting themselves how can they not but perish?
But for the body of joy leaving the state of danger exhaustion comes to an end even as firmness rests on weakness having long been in a state of exhaustion at an empasse one comes along gradually being joyful even in trouble faithful when exhausted ultimately being impeccable... not courting danger for one's own happiness
"So in the path of advancing the fire, sometimes you nuture strength, sometimes you leave strength be, sometimes you balance strength; each has its time. If you wait for the proper time to act, always in the appropriate way, strong, cognizant of danger, even though you 'cross a great river,' it will be beneficial."
The Taoist I Ching

*just re-reading through this thread, TL...really like this piece...especially this verse:
"by our mis- representations we are known..."
made me think of the internet dating scene and the problems one has using date sites,[as one of my brothers is doing, at the moment] but, also, when meeting any given person, on any given type of forum, netwise...so many people misrepresent themselves, totally...it's a matter, I guess, of weeding through the bs, or how much bs one chooses to believe any given person is saying about themselves...as frankly, how do you know that what a person is saying about themselves, is true? unless or until one meets someone face to face, how do you know, how much of what one says, or projects about themselves is true? and how much is mis-representation built from an individual's own arrogance, personal delusion or ego?
good one, Cleve...I enjoyed the re-read. Hope all is well with you. Nir.

Seems there has been a shift in my writing priorities playing tag on multiple web sites keeping myself seriously busy invoking collaborations intent on being published refining streamlining leaving unseen things untouched dead in the dust of hard won experience spending much more time creating in my old forum of self directed souls... for so long suffering from neglect and inattention untapped resources funny how things turn full circle in spirit cleveland
