Adored the first one, Sammy...It had such a witchy flavor...But, oh boy, the second one had me roflmao...Totally...Loved the visual of a handheld mirror attached to the chin...

I'm really amazed this thread has taken on a life of it's own...
The original poem was inspired by a documentary I watched on the history channel...And how so many women were accused of being witches during the Salem Witch Trials, so their property could be taken away from them, by men who coveted the property they owned...
I think those ladies so wrongfully accused would get a kick out of this thread and all the witchy women congregating within it...

this may be immaterial...but when i was a kid in high school...i checked out a book on the salem witches burned at the stake....one bore the same name as what i was born with....kinda getcha when your only 17 and see you lived before and was labled a witch....

side note...like Peg's...
When we studied the trials in 7th grd...I got shell shock sick the first time I saw the picture of a Lady being burned...my mom had to come get me...I could never look at that pic without the same reaction each time...so I skipped ahead and took extra credit to past the class...
just another strange event in this strange life...

Yes my dear they do...we do...it is amazing to me that more women are not toting high powered sniper guns...targeting the abusers and sending them to hades...but because we are women...the carriers of life/creation...we value life more than that...I guess anywho...

mans inhumanity to each other is unbelievable, but we have somehow survived those weak traits, how do we eliminate those horrible traits, i dont know if we can, thay are so ingrained in some of us. maybe we as gentler species are to teach them what humanity really means. who knows....

(hands Mish her high powered sniper gun, shoulders her own and says, tick tock...goes the clock...let's rock! as an added measure, shoves a glock in her pocket...ggglgggl...but, no, I'm not warlike...) on a positive note...heard on the evening news, there's a very good possibility a cure for aids has been discovered in a lab in Big D...found myself crying my eyes out with joy...lost a dear friend years back to this...she lost her baby daughter and her husband to it, before succombing to it, herself...was crying my eyes out with them raised to the ceiling and asking..."Did you hear that, Peggy? Did you hear that, Peggy?  ?" good thing, mini-me was in her room on the phone...she'd of thought I had gone bonkers instead of just having a very emotional moment...LOL...oh, well...kids think we're all nuts, anyway... |

OMG really?...a cure for Aids...that would be the best thing to happen in a long damn time...I hope it is true...I have lost many a friend to it...and pray for all those who live with it still...and yes my eyes teared at this as well...
On the other note...this is one reason I do not own a gun...simply because of the temptations to use it on the wicked of the world...
Of course if we are going bonnie and clyde or whatever my Everclearnir...then I will be right by your side...giggle...giggle...
