well now...this one is
somewhat daring on my part.
The odd language (in italics) is one
that I've composed from a blend of some ancient
languages...a few of which have evolved to the present
and is a language I call 'Dracos~Zpiich' ... 'Dragon~Speak'.
Also I'm choosing to post it now
even though I'm not certain it is finished.
My publisher has reviewed it as is offered here
and they seem to feel that it has merit as a final version.
(I'll simply have to let this strange poem 'float within' for a while
and see where the current of inspiration carries it from here.)

I still wonder wheather i should have taken
so many risks with this poem's curious language
or if I even know how to compose in this realm of folklore.
so...what-the-hey...it's fun to be daring
and worth the risk to try something a bit unique
(and all of you offer such good input to guide me along)

Me? I got a great kick out of this piece, NIms. Mish is going to love it, too. Glad you provided the translation in English, as I was at my wit's end trying to make heads or tails of what looked like Welsh? to me... And for what it's worth, I think you're doing quite well in the folklore genre...But, then, I love to see poets write in genres they don't usually express themselves in...I get a kick out of watching them kick boxes over in their heads and see there are more creative halls in their heads than they realized...You, go, boy! ggglgggl...Nir.

I loved it just as Anir said I would...it is a wonderful piece...just lovely...the language use is brillant...new and refreshing...though must admit I am as glad as Anir that you trans'd it...I've not enough wits to scramble while trying to read it right...lol...and it could have been very painful...thanks for saving me that...hehehehe...lol...all kidding aside luv...it is a superb poem...

She ran full out on purple dragon legs pumping her wings hard raising her head to the sky Calling sweetly deep "you can do it...yes you can..." the edge of the cliff looming it was now or never for the lift Off the earth her feet went wings catching the up draft fast with a heavy sigh she trickles fire "Boy howdy...I need to lose some girth..." Soaring over the valley she feels at home once more knowing down below her friends spin tales of great things of old and new... Freedom is such a gift so as not to be taken lightly for her it means she can be herself without question...without judgement... Spying the blue of water she heads with passion for it lazy circles...dipping wing tips... thoughts of inner peace fill her... Until... A lone fish...mean fish... jumps high out of the blue... to scare the living daylights out of her... she flips...dips...tilts...weaves...high...low... In what appears to be a triple flip end over nose scoring a 10 to 12 on the scale she belly flops...belly slides on the water... Before sinking... she's left thinking... "You best swim little fish... swim...swim...swim...I'm a wee bit hungry now!" LOL...sorry Lord Nim's...just on a run...and happen to be at your place...off my rocker...out of my box...seeing stars...and all that rot...going to bed now...probably the best thing I can do...for all of us...lol... wist mish...mish wist...dragonsomething...   |
