How her howl it calls to me Lusting lips of her lycanthropy Upon me devour In this midnight hour It’s my heart I give to you
In a split eye I’m hypnotized Opens the wounds I’ve tried to hide Gives me new form While the blood is still warm It’s my sacrifice to the tooth
It’s in your bite What changes me on the inside From man to animal A creature birthed from how I died The goddess moon Can’t come to soon And I’ll hunt for you again
I roam alone without my prey Black as night with a touch of gray Hiding in the shadows Where only the beast at heart can follow Now can she offer her growl
Dawn brings about the man From four to two legs I now stand Yet, I still remember In the snow of December Her tracks left in the soil
It’s in your bite That which made me feel more alive Now mortal only to silver A nocturnal jackal has arrived The kiss of death Was upon her breath You bring the hunt to me again

Even without the Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell-esque imaging, this offering had legs that ran with the imagination and a throat that howled! Stellar writing, it just is! Great to see someone banging at the keys, ginning and spinning offerings in the Dungeon! Got more?
"Dawn brings about the man From four to two legs I know stand Yet, I still remember In the snow of December Her tracks lefts in the soil"
~BNM.
*the niggling proofreader in me, wants to ask, did you mean now, instead of know?*
Is that a Boris and Julie image? Sure looks like it. Nir.

You're welcome! I adored this poem!
Just use the modify option to change it... If you like...From know to now... I adore that feature, modify. Use it like a cross in here to ward off typos...LOL...
I've got some of their works, Boris and Julie's, with dragons in calender form, I bought just for inspirationing purposes. When I write of dragons, I like to look at pictures of them... Helps me to cypherically visualize them into poem form...
Take care of you and get back to work on more offerings for The Dungeon...LOL...Just a Nir.
