A cross sticks up by the side of the road Ceremoniously surrounded by mounds of flowers Reminding me of a life cut short Of a soul now treading beyond earth's powers. Suppose it had been someone that I love The light of my life, my reason for being. I shudder in passing, the whole scene amassing Compassion for all who mourn this soul's fleeing.

Come unto me all ye heavy laden Enter these gates all ye that despair My burden is light, my bill of lading Erases the baggage of worry and care. Take a moment to think of souls resting Embracing the gift at the end of the day Remember these while life you're addressing Yet live life with joy on your side of the grave.

Softly surrounding, Even, unhurried, Reaches to rectify Explosive, lurid Nights where you toss Immersed in the fight Touting a dawn that Yields a new light.
