This is an absolutely riveting and heartwrenching story, Cheryl. I am honored you shared it in our storying section with us. Thank you. Well written, too, I might add...
One of the things I noticed, immediately in the aftermath of Nine Eleven, our, America's women of the Muslim faith seemingly disappeared from our streets. Scarfed women just weren't seen, anymore. Even women of the Hindi faith, stopped wearing the beautiful sari and sarong. I missed both segments of our population. I also noticed, I suddenly saw a amazing amount of Muslim men in the markets like Walmart and Albertson's, after dark...Shopping for the family groceries after working all day...You knew they were afraid to let their wives and children out to do so, anymore. So sad, so flipping sad.
But, I digress...Once more, thank you for sharing this with us. Sabrina.

Oh, Cheryl...Thank you for saying that... I don't know whether to laugh or cry, right now... And like some silly cartoon character, I'm sitting here at this desk, sort of doing both...Blessings and peace, sweets...Sabrina.
