Hi there, everyone. My name is Lauren and I have been writing poetry since early childhood, but only began sharing my work since November 2004. I write from personal experience and some pieces are far more dark, morbid, sobering and of sensitive matter than others, but ocassionally, I write lighter stuff too.
I have come from a dark past, and since that is what I know of most of all, darkness is generally the topics I write about.
I hope everyone can find solace and strength through my pieces, no matter how disturbing some may seem, as writing becomes my salvation and in time, now that I am moving towards healing that my pieces will be more and more prone towards happier topics.
Thank you for having me.
Lauren

Hail and welcome, Lauren. Look forward to reading any of your poetry, either dark or light. And am thrilled to see another poet adding to our membership roll, and even more, their individual works, here. Thank you, for joining us, lady.
I have dabbled in the darkness genre, myself. And still do, whenever inspired to do so... Much, for the same reasons, you cited. As poetry should reflect life... And yes, some lives, are darker than others...Or have been...
About to head off to read your offering in Darkland...LOL

Hi Lauren, it is so nice to meet you. We all have a darker side. I think mine are more sad then dark. Don't know if you have been on Echoes, but I think I will post some of the stuff I posted there here. Take care . I look forward to reading your work. Vixen

I have been with Echoes for over a year, my username is Liquid_Promise, I usually sign with L_P. My writes are mostly sad as well. I hope you like my work, as I aim to please, but if you don't, that's cool too. I think I have read a few of your works if you use the same handle there as you do here, as it sounds familiar, and yes, you are an exceptional writer/er/poet.

Sad, to me, when people write of real things, or real emotions, such as sadness, many consider it "darkness". The site I hail from originally, alot of my stuff was labeled as dark, by writers whom believe poetry should only reflect lightness, or what they consider lightness...I was even nicknamed Darkness, at one point...LOL... One of the nicer names, I've been called in life, actually...*gigglegiggle*...Please, ladies, load up the dark genre zone, with poetry about real life, or sadness or darkness...Calling it the dark poetry zone, is really a tongue in cheek entitlement, for those of us, whom have had our more realistic poetry, called as such...It's anything but dark...It's beautiful! I've been inundated with good reads, since I started playing catch up in here, this past weekend. So THRILLED to have you all here...My only request and wish, is that you poem on, and on, and on, and on...In whatever genre, you feel inspired to paint with words in...Just do it...Please? Pretty please, with sugar on top? *giggles and grins*

Hi, it's me, Liquid_Promise/Lauren. Thank you Nimbus, I understand completely.
I left for awhile, and at the time, I thought it would be permanent, but fortunately, it wasn't. I was in a very dark place, then, and then my comp took a dive and now it is fixed so I re-registered under bloodnsorrows, kind of befitting me, I think.
Anyway, thank you all so much for your feedback and kind welcome.
I hope it is okay if I stay for awhile, I really missed you guys.
Safe journey! Lauren
