Hi;
i just wanted to let everyone know that i'll be leaving the site for a while. first off, i wanted to say that my reasons for leaving have absolutely nothing to do with the site. on the contrary, i've found this to be an intelligent, active and very supportive site. it's just that i've found it to be increasingly difficult to keep up with all the posting and commenting. i've got a ton of things happening involving my books and i've found that i'm having less and less time for "luxuries" such as posting my poems. it's been a catch-22 for me. things are going extremely well right now, and i've found more and more outside demands on my time. putting all this in writing feels awkward and stupid and horribly arrogant, but i wanted everyone to know my reasons for leaving.
please...if anyone has any comments or anything for me, don't post them here because i'll not see them. e-mail me direct at jyamrus@aol.com
yes, i'll still be online...that's just become such a necessary tool that i can't leave that behind. i just won't be posting any poetry anywhere.
kathy and i will be leaving for mexico later this week. she'll be working on her tan and i'll be continuing my search for the perfect bottle of tequila. hopefully, when we get back i'll have gone thru the worst of my poetry site withdrawels and it'll be easier for me to avoid posting and reading poems.
thanks a million to everyone. you are all a most dedicated and commited community. i want to thank you for your generous support of my books. i also want to thank you for putting up with my misguided rants and raves in that thread on publishing. i hope that in between all the crap it helped and that it answered at least a few questions.
