Hi All,
I have recently been looking for a site where people post their own poetry and was delighted to find Poetryseasons. I only started writing poems about 2 months ago in an effort to deal with some emotional upheaval, and now I wish I had started this years ago. I am a married, monogamous, mildmannered middle aged male whose life was fairly boring and predictable for quite a number of years. However, in the last few years I lost my sister (lung cancer), mother (Parkinson's disease) and father (MI) and beccame the guardian of my dear, mentally handicaped brother (Willy) who requires 24 hour supervision. Add to this the fact that my wife has become quite depressed and is a hormonal wreck and our only child (daughter) married her college sweatheart and moved away and I had to stop my primary form of relaxation (running) because of a knee injury. Thus the need for poetry. Looking forward to getting to know many of you.
