Prayer does nothing...you do everything....so too, meditation and self talk are not the same as prayer, though in prayer, you do hear yourself and are often addressing the dormant elements of religious beliefs and adherances stored in your meme. Many times, this meme is not in agreeance with your own biological stability and as a result on a cellular level, the tulpa arises to make the cell-f believe it is a "sin" maybe even soemthing that needs to be cast into the fire and burned. With every awakening of stored memory along this meme, both the good and the bad progressively take their toll on the life cycle within the body...often, when deeply engrained by participation and present day adherance to these concepts, the cell-f is overcome as it is now given an "identity" capable of rendering it infertile and dead overall, causing death and disease along the life/death cycle leaving a great imbalance.
The very definition of survival replaces the core cell-f with the tulpic insisted self, even manifesting into things like cancer, autoimmune disorder, mental illness and more. It is possible to experience this in dreams when you find some sort of battle, confrontation, being chased and pursued by mean things, arguements or struggles and seek to believe there is something external speaking to you. It is what is going on within the entire and whole essential cell-f that brings this out and is the subconscious' way of warning that the wrong changes are taking place internally.
Clearing the meme of limiting definition is the first order of business in clearing the code for the future. They say no man is an island, no act done left without effect into something else and we all more or less are one. Consider the things that people do in this world in the name of religious fervor. Imagine that they are internally controlled by their history and the very disagreement between what they are and what their meme is telling them they should be is the cause of much of the most destructive actions being taken in human history...it is a raging insanity that if there were bets placed on it, odds are in favor that it will deepen into a raging insanity and unrest that even if everything is harmonious, it cannot remain that way because a nation, a race of people, are torn within themselves. Again, no man is an island and even the thing we find most horrifying in some part of the world maybe far removed from us, is also a part of us affected, moved and changed without warning...at odds with our present and our past.

Religion is a lie your greatest great grandfather tells you and is reinforced in what you take in today. To believe it, is to understand nothing and compell adherance to something you are not and cannot really be...so then, the fruit of this action is turmoil , confrontation, strife and unrest...it is then what value these things truly have that determine the validity of choice and the continuance or demise of the cell-f...
You do not have to be wrong or right to be at all..you are..and that you are at all is the greatest cause for universal gratitude in whatever way you would focus or attribute it...but because you are...this being at all is also wholly yours.
