Dusty fragmented images and dreams, as voices, unheard for so long again, rise above the din of living
Tears unshed and unwilling, opened, scorning cheeks as they roll unwittingly onto hands, urgently hidden away
Memories from distant ghosts, again brought into focus longing, waiting, urging weaving penetrating whispers through the sub-conscious
Dreaming settles, abandoning feelings of hope leaving soul too wonder, weep, hold onto nothing as ghosts roamed, dissipated
Alone fragrance of a lover, a friend, a known one lingers, teasing with gentle touch emptiness waits, silent, unrelenting
Sadness wraps against heart, kissing soul as they once more, wander into the beyond leaving us, all too soon

Poignant...Hauntingly so...And oh, so beautiful, S'fir...I feel like I should be whispering...Nir

Nir, I'm moved and very pleased at your response to this. I actually had the inspiration, after a photo taken of a friend of mine, in my lounge room, showed a girl, holding a child in her arms in the curtains behind her ( after the photo had been developed ).
I have always known that my home, carries a great deal of history and has more than it's fair share of roaming spirits, I guess that this was just solid evidence that it wasn't just all in my head.

Soul this is gorgeous ... the moments when spirit touches us visually is as moving as if it had been of flesh and blood, maybe even more so because at least you can physically comfort someone ... this poem vibrates between the two worlds/dimensions so respectfully, so aware and so sensitive in every way ... gorgeous writing that kind of hazes the reader right into that picture and the moment it recorded. xxx

S'fir...I was moved by the piece...and the words haunt and haunting, kept popping into my head as I read it...I love that you shared the inspirationing of the piece...do you still have the picture? it is a treasure...
it is my feeling and opinion, the dimensions do overlap, as Shell says...and are more likely to do so, in older homes and ancient places...locations, steeped in history...
i have found over the years, i often take pictures, indoors or outdoors, that are dotted, sometimes, even crowded with orbs...no matter what or which camera i use... can be in a room taking pictures with other people of the same thing...say folks at a family reunion or at holiday time and such...theirs come out "clear", orbless...just the subjects they are shooting at, in them...many of mine, have one to several orbs in them...
last year, my step-mom bought we three girls, my sisters and I, the same flipping camera for Xms...of course, we were taking pictures with them, soon as we opened them...many of mine are orbed...ggglgggl...their's, not at all...
i've begun to think, i'm short circuiting the cameras, like i do watches...watches never run on me, for more than a week or two...no matter how much i spend on them...or how often i bother to change the batteries...or wind them daily, as in wind up watches...so, i just don't wear them, anymore...i've been told, that some people, watches just don't run on them...
but, i've also heard, on shows about paranormality...that orbs in pictures, are ghosts...
all i know, for sure...is i believe in all possibility...and i felt the othernworld quality of this poem when i read it...hauntingly so...
what daring to write it and then share it's inspirationing...Nir

Nir, thank you for your wonderfully indepth reply to this piece and I have to say, that as I read your words, by the end of it I was covered in goosebumps, not only because I have a total understanding of what you have shared with me, but also that you were touched so much by what I had shared from the poem. I do indeed still have the photo and will post it with this reply, forgive me for the quality of the image is very poor ( due to the camera being very old ) x Soul

This is fascinating reading, and taken a fine poem into a new dimension. Literally!
Great stuff!
Maybe we should run a paranormal thread as Halloween approaches. One based on real experiences, like the above, rather than the fictional. Just a suggestion.
