This is an idea suggested by Sabrina awhile ago"Someone posts a picture on a thread and each person writes what comes from their head looking at it...."There are no rules regarding length or style. Here is the first:

Through your eyes I see a vision....
And though a million miles stand in the way, every day leads me one step closer to you...
I count the days...
The changing seasons...
And though sometimes I feel myself so close...
I am still so far away from you, and the life we plan to share someday, together... slips momentarily from view
and leaves me lonely, keeps me longing, for you....

hehehello, darling! you remembered!!!! was wondering the other day, if I should remake the request...to what David said, I might add, any photographer, budding or professional, amongst us, may do this...just post a pic and see what the rest of us are inspired to write from viewing the pic itself...hmmmmm...was just thinking, would it be best to post all pics in one thread, or each pic in it's own thread? or each photographer, has her/his own thread? have to think on that one...what do ya'll, David and crew, think?
and Sam, thank you so much for daring to step up and share the first offering!!!!!!!!!!!
perhaps, I shall have one to share, soon...have to see what is roiling in the inkwell of my brain this evening...turned on the computer and accessed the Seasons and then got dragged away by my adorable family--my daughter, my sister, and my niece and nephew--so, the same may happen again, any moment...
take care all of you and blessed be...just blessed be...Sabrina.

Of the three suggestions, Nir , I vote for the one pic to each thread only. I like this pic, David. I'll come back later. Great idea, by the way.

The tree-branches almost seem to be talking... do they lean to care ... to carry someone away? destinations -- landspirit's setting free we made the wheelcarts just with that.... no longer with their leaves, as you can see, their limbs are tied with big, rumpy stumps.... staying. but, those fountain leaves will take you there where the wind is blowing high... thirty-seven places on a jet2.carpet ought to get you by. (pulling up lame, but I do love those trees.)

thirty-seven destinations for fourteen pounds each that's a vacation steal and what a deal unless where you wish to go isn't included in the package
[best i can do this evening, myself. nice to touch base and see all of you. off to bed is where i'm about to head]

the day is concrete and grey trees stripped bare by an icy wind I'm dreaming of a Calabrian shore warm and serene gentle voices calling from the sea 14 pounds could get me there wishing one of those 37 destinations could be calling for me
bus-stops of discontent waiting for a dream waiting for the air to clear waiting for my feet to wander down the road down where Mary sings on Mercy Street for wanderers like me

Thanks, David. It is a good exercise. I took a French class a few years ago and we did a similar exercise, except the object was to translate a photographic image into French prose. It is the sort of thing a person can spend hours and hours doing. Or it was for me.
