i’ve got an awful cold…
stuffy head, runny nose, fever…
the works.
with no medicine in the house except for aspirin and things like that, i drive to the pharmacy.
i walk in and ask the pharmacist what she’d recommend,
and she says: “aisle 6, on the left…
is there anything else i can do for you?”
i sniffle, blow my nose and say:
“now that you mention it… what do you have for the heartbreak of psoriasis?”
just before she walked away she looked at me and said:
“that sure is a really bad cold you’ve got there, isn’t it?”

omg, i half-apologise - i so love it when you have a rotten time and say like it is ... beautifully .. some people have NO idea do they? Like, if you had the strength an axe would be quite handy ... and of course there is an extremely poignant and real undertow ... *ouch*

If you ever plan to do another book of poetry with the theme you got going here on the board, you might try the title: "A Day In the Life.." Your poems are so cool!
