I wrote this because I have several friends going through divorce, and there seem to be some universal themes.
Changes In Prospective
When it all changed I don’t remember, I used to hang on his every word. Now his voice is a bothersome bee buzzing. The annoying fly that won’t go away
I’m not sure if he changed or if it was I. I do know if I have to listen to him slurp soup One more time I may have to choke him. His table manners are atrocious
His bitterness irritates me He finds fault with everything and everyone I’m so tired of his woe is me song He certainly is not a happy man
He says its me who has changed I’ve heard I told you so a thousand times “It’s that damn education “,he said “Its wrecked your mind and gone to your head”
I know I should leave but I can’t He has no friends and is an angry man A loner and I find that sickly attractive But then again, bad boys have always compelled me

Sweet, Vix, and right on the money! Chekhov's plays always dwell on the bizarre logic people get into when they're "in love." Job well done. She said, You cuss too much." so I cut back on the F word. Another complaint, "You stink of cigarette smoke and you don't bath enough!" I put down the ciggys and jump in the shower. Two weeks later, "I'm leaving you!" "What's up with that?!" I spat. "you're no longer the man I married." Heehee!

I think most Men think they are loners until they find themselves alone, and then they look around and say 'where she go ... where's she gone?'
Being taken for granted is never an issue until you are.

ggglgggl...great separating poeming, you've shared with us, Vix! and RRW, did you write the follow-up? it was hehelarious, too! and so true, David, whether one is male or female, being taken for granted is never an issue until you are... well, to those of us separating or about to separate..."We salute you" as the old rock song says...for it's true, breaking up is hard to do... as another old song says...far harder than "falling in love"...yes? or some such nirphilosophy and thoughtrot...*t-he*
