in the rush people take to get there, to get this, to possess that,
to acquire all the things that make the season "bright" that make it
a "joyous" time...why is a smile so hard for so many?..courtesy on the road
an impossibility?.Why do white babies being found in a recycling dump dead
become part of the news while all the other "babies" who, well, are not white,
fade into nothingness? Why, when so many people seek meaningful things
that they have a life fuller of meaninglessness?
A thing, a thing, a marvelous thing...everyone knows its costly...
possibly too costly to worry for, to get to give...
they say we are evolved from the monkeys...what a lie...
monkeys take care of each other...and their young...
what makes a human mother, fight in one moment for the
baby she has lost and then drop them altogether because
they are pregnant with a 'nuther one?
we could learn a lot from monkeys..sometimes...

"what makes a human mother, fight in one moment for the

This particular verse struck a chord with me, when i lost my eldest son.. many people's opinion was that if I should have another baby, then she/he would simply take the place of the child I had lost. I was quite often angered and quite vocal about their distasteful words. Poignant, moving piece, John. Thoroughly enjoyed it, thanks for sharing. Soul
